Beautiful earth colors are what drew me to this beautiful cabochon of jasper. There's a very grounded feeling to jasper stones, and I love the play of rusty brown red against greenish brown (complimentary colors). It's fun when nature is the painter!
To make this a fun and comfortable ring to wear, I made a split shank double band, and used a thicker than average bezel around the stone for maximum strength. No it won't survive driving a car over it (yes I have heard that one...) but it can be a reliable little buddy hanging around your finger.
Please look carefully at the pics on the mandrel to be sure the ring will fit you. A ring can be made slightly larger by a jeweler without too much trouble, but to make smaller would require a lot of heat, so the stone would need to be removed.
The style is rustic artisan, not at all prissy, and a nod to the great artisan look of the sixties and seventies! You know...badass boomer style. Coastal grandmothers.
